ABOUT ADC

Mission
The mission of African Diaspora for Change is to educate, empower and engage the next generation of leaders in order to affect change in perception and policy.

Vision
The vision of the organization is to become a bridge to unite the African Diaspora in the U.S. and throughout the world. We will dispel the negative images of African descendants worldwide and create a movement to foster true change regarding policies towards her people and the perception of her descendants. The organization will have international chapters in various countries and members will have access to an online community as well as local resources and programs.

Focus

1. EDUCATE: Educate members about Africa and people of African descent, dispelling negative images and perceptions. Showcase the similarities we have in the Diaspora and celebrate the differences as strengths.

2. EMPOWER: Develop forums for dialogue, information exchange and action for creating real change, success stories, and development in Africa and the Diaspora.

3. ENGAGE: Become a bridge between the Diaspora and businesses and organizations that want to dialogue and do business with the Diaspora (through direct memberships, networks and partnerships).
